Carole "Honey" McCall 4/7/30 ~ 2/6/18

Carole, affectionately known as “Honey” to her grandkids, passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 6 to be with her husband of 63 years. Carole was preceded in death by George McCall, on November 30, 2017.

Carole Jeanne Johnson was born in Saint Paul, Minnesota to Ruth and George Johnson on 04/07/1930. Carole and George met in Minnesota during their sophomore year of high school. After George was honorably discharged from the Army, Carole and George moved to Los Angeles and were married in 1954. They later moved to Lake Tahoe in 1982. Carole was incredibly kind, generous, and devoted to her family. She was also very intuitive, as she could always predict the sex of her unborn grandchildren.

Carole will be remembered for her contagious smile and her amusing sense of humor. She operated from the heart and often cared for others before herself. She had an admirable sense of fashion and was always dressed “to the nines”. With an artistic eye, she lovingly created beautiful homes for her family.

Carole is survived by her sons Greg McCall, Thane & Holly McCall, daughter Susan McCall, grandchildren Brad, Ian, Bryan, Matthew, Ellie and her great granddaughter London.

Carole was preceded in death by her mother Ruth Johnson, father George Johnson, brother Robert Johnson and first-born son, Bradley McCall.

A celebration of life will be held for Carole at obituary to Capisce Restaurant 178 US-50, Zephyr Cove Nv from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. on Saturday February 10 at 1:00 p.m. En lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the Lake Tahoe Humane Society.
