El Dorado County VHR meeting rescheduled

After being unprepared for a very large crowd at their last attempt for a vacation home rental (VHR) meeting, the El Dorado County Board if Supervisors have reschedule that postponed meeting to Saturday, March 3 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the South Tahoe Middle School multi-purpose room.

On February 1 the supervisor's meeting held at the South Lake Tahoe airport had to come to an early end Thursday after a City fire official deemed the over 150 people crammed into the airport council chambers too many over the maximum occupancy of 112 to be safe. Another 150 people were in the lobby, unable to hear the proceedings in the other room.

Citizens want to participant in County's discussion of amending their vacation home rental (VHR) ordinance.

The previous meeting was developed with the single agenda item of reviewing conceptual recommendations for changes to the current Vacation Home Rental ordinance in the unincorporated portion of El Dorado County. The agenda and staff report, found here, remain the same as those for the February 1st meeting.
