DUI Hit and Run
On February 21st at about 8:20 PM, the South Lake Tahoe Police Department received numerous 911 call’s reporting that a car had just crashed into the front of a house. CHP had an officer in the area and detained Christopher Catterson, a 27-year-old from South Lake Tahoe, who was running from the scene. When Officers arrived on the chaotic scene, they found that a 2001 Volvo Station wagon had crashed into two parked cars in the driveway of 2592 Fountain Drive.

Catterson, whose driver’s license was suspended for a prior DUI conviction, was ultimately arrested for driving under the influence and hit and run. It appeared from Catterson’s cell phone that he was in the process of sending a text message at the time of the collision. Catterson only received minor injuries from the collision.
