Two men were attacked outside of The Bottle Shop in South Lake Tahoe on Wednesday evening, leaving one seriously injured.
On February 25 at approximately 7 p.m., two local men were rushed in an unprovoked attack by three unidentified men outside the business located at 3950 Lake Tahoe Blvd.
One of the victims, a 36-year-old hispanic man, sustained significant head injuries including lacerations to his face after having been beaten by the three suspects with fists. He was transported to Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno with non-life threatening injuries.
The other victim, 50-years old and also hispanic, was uninjuried and able to give a vague description of the three attackers due to intoxication. He said the suspects may be European; they were described as white males 6’-2” tall, two were “Spanish” while the third spoke Italian. Additionally, they had black colored hair, one was wearing a white jacket, and another suspect was wearing a blue jacket.
Investigators are searching for possible surveillance/security camera video of the suspects from other area businesses as well as asking for help from the public.
The South Lake Tahoe Police Department is seeking public assistance in identifying the suspects in this incident. Anyone that might have been in the area at the time, or who may have seen the three suspects, or have an idea of who they might be, are asked to call the Police Department at 530-542-6110 or the South Lake Tahoe Secret Witness at 530-541-6800.
