North State Grocery, Inc., a 100 percent employee-owned company out of Cottonwood, Calif., has announced it is purchasing Lira's Market in Meyers, just outside of South Lake Tahoe.
Their new store will open as a Holiday Market as soon as April 9, 2018. according to the company's CFO Michel LeClerc.

This will mark the company’s third Holiday Market location in El Dorado County. They also have locations in Placerville and Cool. North State Grocery is headquartered in Cottonwood, opened in 1962, and has 13 other Holiday Market stores and 7 SAVMOR Foods stores throughout northern California.
The company’s mission is to achieve financial security for its employee‐owners by providing its customers with a superior grocery shopping experience. The offer rewards cards where shoppers can earn points for free items.
