Man dies after fall from Harveys garage in Stateline

A 29-year-old man died Sunday morning after a fall from the upper levels of the parking structure at Harveys Lake Tahoe in Stateline, Nev.
Deputies from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO) responded to the casino at 3:00 a.m. Sunday, March 26, 2017 when they were notified of a man with a traumatic injury found next to the parking garage.
When paramedics and deputies arrived they found the man, David Garcia, unresponsive and not breathing. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Garcia, a Fresno, Calif. resident, had been drinking alcohol during the evening, and had left a casino on foot at 2:20 a.m. according to witnesses.
DCSO Sgt. Bernadette Smith said the fall appears to have been accidental.
