Burglary suspects arrested after stolen guns found in car

Deputies from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO) responded to a burglary in progress call in the 1300 block of Cedar Creek Circle in the Gardnerville Ranchos at 3:20 a.m. on April 8.

A homeowner had found an unknown male in his garage, claiming a friend of his was in need of medical attention.

DCSO said the male matched the description of a similar incident in the neighborhood, one where the suspect(s) weren't able to get into the garage or home.

As deputies were investigating, a call came in from another person, saying a suspicious vehicle parked in the driveway of their residence.

Deputies went to the home and began an inventory of the vehicle where they located several guns and other stolen property from a burglary in Storey County. A suspect, 21-year-old Conrad Hilbmann, had been named as a suspect in that burglary and was associated with this vehicle.

Hilbmann was also the man suspected of entering the Cedar Creek gargage. He was located and booked into the Douglas County Jail for an outside warrant, burglary, possession of stolen weapons and possession of a controlled substance.

Shortly after, deputies located his friend, 23-year-old Vincent Dillenbeck-Mays who was then arrested and treated for injuries that occurred days prior to this incident. Dillenbeck-Mays was booked into the Douglas County Jail for an outside warrant and possession of stolen weapons.
