LAKE TAHOE, Calif.,/Nev. - On Sunday, June 14 there is a Clean Up Bingo challenge hosted by Clean Up The Lake from noon to 4:00 p.m.
It is open to everyone who has the ability to post on Instagram (though cleaning is always welcome). @Cleanupthelake’s CLEAN UP BINGO encourages everyone to get out in the community, whether it is in your local neighborhood or favorite beach, and pick up some garbage.
Participants can win prizes donated by local businesses by filling up a special Bingo card.
To participate:
1. Sunday, June 14, 2020, anytime from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., go to @cleanupthelake on Instagram to see the BINGO card.
2. Pick up garbage in an area of your choice.
3. When you have 5 pieces of trash that correlate with the Bingo card horizontally, vertically or diagonally take one photo and tag @cleanupthelake #cleanupbingo via your stories or feed.
Feel free to share your location.
4. Entries will be placed into a hat at 4:00 p.m. and the organizers will pick 10 winners live.
Please be safe when picking up garbage. People are encouraged to continue picking up trash after getting a BINGO! Feel free to send them another photo at the end of your clean up.
Clean Up the Lake is a nonprofit whose mission statement is to fight back against plastic and all forms of pollution in our global environment, both on land and under the surface, starting with Lake Tahoe and the Cayes in Belize.
Through extensive research dives and outreach in the community, they have discovered strong pollution issues both within the community and under the surface of the lake. They perform scuba cleanups around the lake, and strategic shore-based cleanups in areas of need.
