Cut up coyote pelt left on car with anti-hunting note in South Lake Tahoe

It wasn't your normal call into the El Dorado County Sheriff's Department on Wednesday morning.

At some point during the night of June 30-July 1, 2015, a person or persons left a cut up coyote pelt on top of a car on Player Drive, just off of Pioneer Trail.

The pelt appeared to be an older one as it was tanned according to Sgt. Michael Seligsohn of the sheriff's office. He said that it may have even been a rug.

There was a note left with the pelt that made anti-hunting comments against the owner of the car, who is a hunter.

There are no suspects.
