Justin Timberlake enjoys the fan camaraderie in Lake Tahoe

The first glimpse the fans at the 7th hole at Edgewood Tahoe had of Justin Timberlake on Thursday was as he crept up the small hill from the 6th hole, hiding behind the signs lining the tee box.

Why you ask?

A fun and rowdy group of friends from Sacramento had taken control of the hole, their antics heard from all ends of the course. (Follow SouthTahoeNow for that story later today)

"I've heard about you guys, you're world famous," said Timberlake.

The group of 30 men entertained foursome after foursome, sometimes singing, other times throwing out insults about sports teams or golf swings.

The treat they had for Timberlake? Singing the Backstreet Boys song, I Want it That Way.

Not a bad rendition, but Timberlake sang in the band NSYNC, not Backstreet Boys.

One member of the group unsuccessfully tried to get "JT" involved in a dance off.
