As fans around the globe try to come to grips with the death of Chester Bennington, Linkin Park has canceled their American Tour which included a stop in Lake Tahoe at the Harvey's Outdoor Concert Arena on September 1.
"We are incredibly saddened to hear about the passing of Chester Bennington," Live Nation, the tour's promoter, said in a statement Friday. "The Linkin Park One More Light North American Tour has been canceled and refunds are available at point of purchase. Our thoughts go out to all those affected.”
After recently completing their European tour, Linkin Park was starting their North American tour on June 27 in Massachusetts. It was set to conclude on October 22 in Los Angeles.
One More Light was the name of their tour and their latest album.
Law enforcement sources have said the singer, who was the father of six, hanged himself at a home in Palos Verdes Estates in Southern California. He was found Thursday morning.
