South Lake Tahoe man arrested on drug charges in Butte County

A 39-year-old South Lake Tahoe man was arrested by the Butte County Sheriff's Office after being found with a large quantity of illegal drugs.
On July 16, 2018 at approximately 9:00 p.m., law enforcement was called about a suspicious vehicle on the Oro Quincy Highway north of the Berry Creek area. The occupant of the car, Jay Sool White, was contacted by a Butte County Sheriff's deputy who subsequently searched White's car.
Found in the car was a large amount of narcotics preliminarily identified as approximately one pound of cocaine, several thousand ecstasy pills, three pounds of powdered MDMA (ecstasy), two pounds of Ketamine, Psilocybin mushrooms, LSD, DMT (Dimethyltryptamine) and marijuana. Also found was a handgun and $16,000 in cash.
According to the Butte County Sheriff's, their drug task force has now taken over the investigation due to the large amount of drugs. They will complete lab analysis to confirm what the seized drugs are.
His booking information has White listed as residing on Modesto Avenue in South Lake Tahoe.
White is being held on $371,000 bail. He is facing multiple (13) controlled substance possession charges including controlled substance for sale while in possession of a gun.
