South Lake Tahoe Photo of the Week

Lynley Payne sent in this photo of a bear taking a mid-day bath in the Tahoe Keys.
Lynley and her family live on Inverness Drive in South Lake Tahoe and watched the bear swim over from Lucerne Drive to Monterey Drive in the Keys on Wednesday. She and her son kayaked over as the bear stayed in the water near shore. As they hovered near the edge of the dock, her son was able to take this photo with a zoom lens.
"The bear wasn't too happy being disturbed so he ambled off down the street," said Lynley. "It never gets old seeing these magnificent animals up close and personal."
