One hundred goody bags full of roasted coffee beans from Blind Dog Coffee as well as food treats were delivered to deputies from the Douglas County Sheriff's Office as a token of appreciation from employees of Smith's grocery store in Gardnervile.
Twelve employees and their families delivered the bags to the deputy's swing shift briefing on August 10. They told the men and women of DCSO they wanted to show their concern for their safety and that they appreciate the job that they do protecting the community and keeping families safe.
The gifts were a surprise to Sheriff Ron Pierini who came out of his meeting thank the employees of Smith’s Grocery Store.
