TRPA to survey locals and visitors at recreation and commercial sites
Submitted by paula on Tue, 08/14/2018 - 10:22am
As part of its annual monitoring program, the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency (TRPA) will be surveying residents and tourists at several dozen commercial and recreation sites in the Lake Tahoe Basin from Thursday, Aug. 16 to Monday, Aug. 27.
The short surveys will gather demographic data and information about how people are traveling to commercial and recreation areas at Lake Tahoe. Data will be used only to assess transit, trail, and private vehicle usage and help plan multi-modal transportation improvements in the Tahoe Basin.
The research is part of TRPA’s transportation monitoring program and is used to evaluate progress on work to reduce dependency on the private automobile in the Tahoe Basin.
TRPA appreciates the participation of local businesses and organizations in this survey and is thankful for the time and information provided by survey participants, as their input will help shape future transportation improvements at Lake Tahoe.
All individual survey information will be kept anonymous. A summary of survey results will be made available to the public.
For more information, contact Reid Haefer, data modeler/analyst at TRPA, at rhaefer@trpa.org or (775) 589-5289.
