Furlong said there was one survivor of the accident, which occurred about a mile into the canyon.

An adult male survivor managed to walk out of the canyon, where he was spotted by a nearby resident and from there a call placed to emergency dispatch at 4:44 a.m.
Once on scene, first responders were able to locate the vehicle and confirm the two fatalities.

Both deceased are male, the sheriff said, and one is confirmed to be an adult. The age of the second deceased male is unknown at this time.

Furlong said the vehicle rolled several hundred feet off the road into the canyon, coming to rest on its top.
