Air quality in South Lake Tahoe has improved though smoke still remains evident throughout the region. Lake Tahoe Unified School District is allowing students to be outdoors since the air quality improved to moderate with an AQI of 88 this morning (since the decision was made the air quality has improved to AQI 66). AQI is the air quality index.
Unusually sensitive people should still consider reducing prolonged or heavy exertion.
