Pair arrested on suspicion of burglarizing vacation home

Two South Lake Tahoe men were arrested early Monday morning on suspicion of entering a vacation home rental and burglarizing it.

On August 31, 2015 at 12:46 a.m., an officer with the South Lake Tahoe Police Department was on patrol when he observed two men carrying items out of a vacation home on D Street, right across the street where the two suspects live.

Oscar Javier Salazar, 24, and Allen Eric Salazar, 26, were both arrested and booked into the El Dorado County Jail on charges of burglary and vandalism. Allen faces an additional charge of obstruction of a police officer. He bailed out of jail Monday but the younger Salazar remains in custody on a $60,000 bail hold. The two are roommates but it is unknown if they are related.

The vandalism charge stems from a television they broke while in the vacation home.
