Gardnerville business owners facing felony drug charges

The owners of Sierra Market in Gardnerville, NV were arrested by the Douglas County Sheriff's Office (DCSO)on Wednesday on felony unlawful delivery, sale or possession of drug paraphernalia and gross misdemeanor conspiracy charges.
DCSO received information that Kulwant Singh and his wife Jaswinder Kaur were selling drug paraphernalia from the store which is located at 1532 Hwy 395N. A report dated August 6, 2015, indicated that DCSO Investigators used an informant to purchase drug paraphernalia from the store. A second attempt to purchase paraphernalia by an undercover deputy was unsuccessful. A subsequent search of the store thereafter uncovered evidence of sales of paraphernalia.
On September 16, 2015 at approximately 1:00 p.m., investigators arrested Singh and Kaur on the listed charges and were booked into the Douglas County Jail on $1,500.00 bail each. Both Singh and Kaur have posted bail.
