Free flights for kids at South Lake Tahoe Airport

Create an unforgettable memory for youngsters ages 8 thru 17 years old with a free
Young Eagles airplane ride from the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) Truckee
Chapter 1073 on Saturday, September 26th at the South Lake Tahoe Airport.
Registration and flights will start at 8 a.m. and continue as long as the weather stays good, or until about noon. The free rides are part of the EAA’s Young Eagles program, in which volunteer pilots introduce youth ages eight through 17 to aviation by giving them free airplane rides. The Truckee chapter is returning to South Lake Tahoe again this year to hold this rally.
The Young Eagles program has flown over 1.9 million kids in more than 90 countries
have joined the ranks of Young Eagles. The Truckee chapter has flown over 3,300
Young Eagles in that time.
