You spoke, they listened.
The South Lake Tahoe Grocery Outlet is expanding their produce section and other healthy food option areas, and moving all other items around to make the store easier to move around.
"Nothing is going to be in the same place," said Deanna Schouten, whose family owns the popular local store. "The non-food items will be on one side of the store, there is one full aisle of NOSH (Natural, Organic, Specialty, Healthy), new coolers and dairy section."
Mike and Kim Schouten opened the South Lake Tahoe Grocery Outlet on July 7, 2009 and have made it a family effort with their son and daughter on board along with their families.
They have the new floorplan posted for customers to view in case they can't find their favorite items. Within the next couple of weeks the remodel will be complete and it will includes a move of produce over into the area that once housed a second-hand store and ski shop and other surprises.
"This remodel is customer driven," said Deanna.
Watch for a special grand opening once changes are completed.
