It took double-overtime Friday afternoon for the Sparks Railroaders to beat the South Tahoe Vikings in the second round of the 2015 NIAA Division I-A Northern Region Boys Soccer Championship.
The Vikings won their first round game in Elko on Thursday, beating Lowry 6-2.
It was a match-up of two good teams on Friday with a 0-0 tie at the end of regulation play. After two overtimes, Sparks moves to the final playoff game on Saturday. Both the #1 and #2 teams from the north will play in South Lake Tahoe for the State Tournament November 13-14. Those games will be played at South Tahoe High.
