Wind topples trees onto two South Lake Tahoe residences

Two homes in South Lake Tahoe were damaged Saturday evening after trees fell onto them as the area was under a high wind advisory. Both homes are located near Heavenly Mountain Resort.
Even though both incidents occurred Saturday, the damage at a home on Saddle Road was not reported until Sunday morning. The occupants of the home arrived from the Bay Area at about 2:00 a.m., after the tree fell, and didn't want to deal with calling authorities at such an early hour. They slept in the home, even with a hole in the ceiling. People out on a walk Sunday morning actually called in the fallen tree. The occupants have been relocated to another place to stay.
A home on June Way was also damaged as a tree fell on its roof.
Nobody was injured in either incident and no other information is available at this time.
