Cram-a-Cruiser event to gather food for Bread and Broth For Kids

Event Date:
April 30, 2016 - 9:00am

Bread & Broth 4 Kids is holding their second Cram-A-Cruiser event at the Grocery Outlet on Saturday, April 30, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

The non-profit fills up bags of food every Friday for 120 South Lake Tahoe children who are in need of extra food over the weekend when they aren't able to receive the free lunches and breakfasts offered at school.

A South Lake Tahoe Police car will be in the parking lot in front of the store and the object will be to fill it up with as much food as possible that will be going into the kid's bags.

Cram-a-Cruiser event held in South Lake Tahoe to feed local children

In 2012, Page and Sage was started in order to address the growing problem of hungry children in South Lake Tahoe with the help of Tahoe Douglas Rotary Club. With over 2,000 students qualifying for free or reduced breakfasts and lunches in the community, the need for extra food in homes was apparent then, just as it is now.
