June 22, 2017 - 6:30pm The five-piece band Mo’z Motley Blues will perform blues, rock pop and soul at the Dangberg Home Ranch Historic Park at 6:30 pm on Thursday, June 22.
Monique DeHaviland and the Mo’z Motley Blues Band have been performing originals and 5 decades of cover music with blues infected rock, pop, soul, and country repertoire geared to make audiences move from the minute the music begins.
The band was founded in 2012 and members come from the surrounding Reno-Tahoe area. Band members are Monique DeHaviland, Samantha Moore, Mylo McCormick, Don Lalonde and Ian McDonald on horns.

April 1, 2017 - 4:00pm Join the Kirkwood Rescue Avalanche Dog Foundation at their 3rd annual Fundraiser on April 1 from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m at Kirkwood Mountain Resort's Red Cliffs Lodge. Meet the avalanche dogs of Kirkwood while supporting the Kirkwood Rescue Avalanche Foundation!
Entry is $10 per guest and $5 raffle tickets are being sold before, and during, the event. Pick up your raffle tickets before the event at any Kirkwood Ski Patrol building while you’re out skiing.

An appreciation of all of the law enforcement agencies that are assigned to protect the South Shore of the Lake Tahoe Basin will be the focus of Law Enforcement Day at Lakeview Commons in South Lake Tahoe on Thurday, September 15 at 5:00 p.m.
The public is invited to show support of the the men and women of the California Highway Patrol, Douglas County Sheriff's Office, El Dorado County Probation, El Dorado County Sheriff including STAR and SAR, the FBI (South Lake Tahoe Division), SLEDNET, South Lake Tahoe Police Department and USFS Law Enforcement.

August 6, 2016 - 10:00am Join us for a great chance to pick up those summer reads through hundreds of previously loved, and many new, books that are available. Friends of the Library members are allowed to come in at 9 AM. If you're not a member already, you may join the morning of. In addition to all the awesome books, the very entertaining local band, "Mo' Betta Blues Band", will be playing on the library lawn from 11:00 until 2:00 PM. So bring a picnic, purchase some books and enjoy live music at the library with a view.

Food will be offered for sale by Seniors, Inc. The Senior Center is located at 3050 Lake Tahoe Blvd.

The Sixth Annual Native Species Festival will be held at the Taylor Creek visitor Center in South Lake Tahoe on Saturday, May 30 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
This free family event is hosted by the U.S. Forest Service Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit and is a great way to spend the day outdoors and learn about the native species of the Lake Tahoe Basin.
The Visitor's Center is located three miles north of South Lake Tahoe on Highway 89.
Early bird discounts now available for 2015 Home and Garden Show

The show will be held on Friday, April 24th, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., and Saturday, April 25th, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The cost of a 10 x 10 foot space is $145.00 total for both days until January 1, 2015. Regular price is $195.00.
Kudos: Music on the Beach BAHM!

A big thank you to Zephyr Cove Resort for hosting the Music on the Beach BAHM! this past Tuesday evening. As always, we had a great time at the resort. Offering picturesque lakefront entertainment, food and lodging, Zephyr Cove has something for everyone. We’d like to also thank local band Ike and Martin for providing the exceptional entertainment. A special thanks goes to Harrah’s Lake Tahoe for providing two Sarah McLachlan tickets that were included in the evening’s raffle. Thank you again to everyone who came out.
Taylor Creek Visitor Center hosts bird and native species festivals

The Tahoe Regional Planning Agency is hosting a Community Appreciation Day event on Thursday, September 29 from 4 - 7 pm to celebrate the Tahoe Basin community's commitment to protecting Lake Tahoe.
This fun, family event will include bluegrass music by local band, Bison, a free BBQ dinner, activities for the kids, an ice cream social hosted by members of TRPA's Governing Board and Advisory Planning Commission, and demonstration booths explaining TRPA's mission.
