Santa Run on Ski Run in South Lake Tahoe to raise funds for SOS Outreach

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Get your holiday spirit on (along with your running shoes or snowboots) for the first ever Santa Fun Run on Ski Run on Saturday, December 15, 2018.

Come dressed in your best and most festive Kris Kringle outfit and join in the winter fun, all for a good cause. All proceeds will benefit the local non-profit, SOS Outreach.

Time to get your Santa on and run in the annual South Lake Tahoe Santa Run! Grab your Santa suits and hats and enjoy a 1.3 mile run up Ski Run Blvd from Blue Angel Cafe to Himmel Haus.

The Heavenly Ski and Snowboard Foundation (HSSF) is holding their annual Santa Run on Sunday, December 21 at 4:00 p.m., rain or snow. They will be raising funds for the HSSF Scholarship Fund wil the help of Himmel Haus, Blue Angel Cafe and Rainbow Mountain.

Santa Run in South Lake Tahoe on Sunday to Raise Funds for Local Charities

The 2nd Annual Santa Run will be bringing out runners in all of their holiday costume as they run from Blue Angel Cafe on Ski Run, up the hill to the end at Himmel Haus. It will be held on Sunday, December 1 at 4:30 pm.

You'll see Santas, elves, presents and whatever other costumes the runners can come up with as they run the mile long course. At the end of the run there will be door prizes, a buffet and prizes awarded to the top three finishers in costume and best costume.

Santa Run to Benefit Christmas Cheer, Heavenly Ski and Snowboard Foundation

In cooperation with the Himmel Haus, Blue Angel Café, and Rainbow Mountain, the Heavenly Ski and Snowboard Foundation will host the first annual South Tahoe Santa Run to benefit Christmas Cheer and the HSSF Scholarship Fund on Thursday, Dec. 20th, regardless of weather.

“Running in Santa costumes for charity is a fun, win-win situation to me!” said Zakariah Latzka, Himmel Haus owner. “We are excited to be involved in helping the community that has so graciously embraced us and our business.”
