Three Coldwell Banker Select Agents Make Big Impact at the North Tahoe Ironman Event

The Coldwell Banker Select office in Zephyr Cove is known for pushing it to the limit when securing great deals for their clients. However, the hard work of three agents also translates outside of the office. Last weekend, Pike Reardon, Jim Kilen and Penny Echan all participated in the North Tahoe/Truckee Ironman event, with Reardon and Kilen having big finishes, with Pike finishing 9th in his age group and 84th overall. Echan woke up at 2AM Sunday morning to get her kayak in the lake prior to the 5AM start time of the event.

Tahoe Prosperity Center welcomes two new team members

Christina Proctor, public relations professional, and Bev Ducey, a resource development expert with an extensive history in grant procurement, will be advancing the mission of the Tahoe Prosperity Center (TPC) in 2013. North Lake Tahoe launches first-ever free ski shuttle

Getting to North Lake Tahoe’s snowy ski slopes just got a whole lot easier with the launch of the region's first area-wide free ski shuttle serving North Lake Tahoe, Truckee and Donner Summit.

The service runs between area lodging properties to 9 different ski resorts on weekends and holiday weeks now through March 31. It was formed through a collaboration of the North Lake Tahoe Chamber/CVB/Resort Association in partnership with the Truckee/North Tahoe Transportation Management Association and Placer County, the town of Truckee and several ski resorts.

Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows merger complete

The previously announced transaction between KSL Capital Partners and JMA Ventures which joins Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows under one operating company has officially closed. This announcement affirms that skiers and riders can access Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows’ 6,000 acres, 44 lifts and over 270 trails on one lift ticket or season pass. The two resorts will be connected by convenient, complimentary shuttles that will provide transportation between the two resorts.

“Since announcing the merger, the Alpine Meadows and Squaw Valley joint pass products –the Tahoe Super Pass and Tahoe Super Six, and Squaw Valley’s $50 million Renaissance, the response from our guests has been overwhelmingly positive” said Andy Wirth, Squaw Valley’s president and CEO.“The opportunity to experience these two incredible mountains, each with their own unique spirit and character, through one pass and one ticket has resonated deeply with our guests,” said Wirth.
