Trey Stone Benefit Concert

The South Shore community is coming together on November 14 at Hard Rock Lake Tahoe's Vinyl for musician Trey Stone who is now in end stage kidney failure. Stone's friends in the musical word are donating their talent for a one night event to support his efforts to heal, get on dialysis and eventually get a kidney transplant.
Tickets are $20 and there will be raffles and a silent auction.
All proceeds will go to healing Trey and helping him continue gracing the world with his talent.

June 29, 2017 - 6:30pm Reno band The Sextones will perform funk and soul at the Dangberg Home Ranch Historic Park at 6:30 pm on Thursday, June 29.
The Sextones is a family of music renegades known for viciously executed soul compositions and white-knuckle driving funk. Tipping their hats to the days of Tower of Power and Stevie Wonder, they are forging the path for a new generation of funk and soul.

Tower of Power heads to South Shore after two band members hit by train
Submitted by paula on Thu, 01/19/2017 - 8:49pmTwo musicians with the legendary Bay Area R&B band Tower of Power remain hospitalized after being hit by an Amtrak train in Oakland on January 12. The other band members will still be performing on the South Shore at Harrah's Tahoe February 3 and 4.
The band's longtime drummer, 70-year-old Dave Garibaldi, is listed in "fair condition" but will remain hospitalized for a few more days as he recovers from head and facial injuries.
Legendary Tower of Power to headline 2016 Concert Under the Stars benefit for Greenhouse Project

The concert outside of Cafe at Adele’s, will be July 14. Ticket sales will be announced soon, said Adele’s owner Charlie Abowd via his Facebook page.
Rock icon Glenn Frey of the Eagles dies at age 67

Glenn Frey, the guitarist and sometime singer for the legendary 1970s band The Eagles, died Monday at age 67. The Eagles last performed in South Lake Tahoe during a two-day concert at Harvey's Outdoor Arena in 2014.
According to news reports, Frey had surgery for intestinal problems in November.

The community is invited to join the Trey Stone Band for three hours of R&B, funk and soul at an outdoor concert — Music at the Moose — to benefit the Tahoe Arts Project at 5 p.m. today, Wednesday, July 25, at the Moose Lodge, 961 Eloise Avenue in South Lake Tahoe.
The cost is $10 for adults and free for children. Dished up for purchase at this community benefit concert include burgers and hot dogs, soda, ice cream, and more. There's a cash bar available and a raffle will be held. All proceeds benefit the Tahoe Arts Project.

New storm to arrive on Sunday; ski resorts prepare for brisk business
