Promoting power boating and sailing, and sharing the joy of being on beautiful Lake Tahoe, the South Lake Tahoe Windjammers Yacht Club is also committed to helping others in our community. This year, the club sponsored Bread & Broth’s (B&B) Monday Meal on July 29 and club members John Johnck, Steve Katzman, Diane Martin, Laura Rasmussen, and Carolyn Robinson crewed at the Club’s sponsorship dinner.

The South Lake Tahoe Windjammers Yacht Club (SLTWYC) is holding its annual sailing skills clinic on Saturday, July 13, 2019, starting at 8:30 a.m. If you ever wanted to try sailing or are looking to improve your skills, this one-day class is for you. The clinic is open to men and women of all ages and experience levels.

The Tahoe Windjammer’s Yacht Club is having its annual Community Sailing Clinic on July 14th. This event includes classroom instruction on basic sailing and boating safety in the morning and on-the-water instruction as a guest on a member’s sailboat in the afternoon. The clinic is open to men and women of all experience levels. We try to match up participants to boats according to their abilities and interests to ensure the best sailing experience. If you have wanted to try sailing and haven’t had the opportunity, this is a great way to get the feel of it.

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - An ongoing legal battle between the Tahoe Keys Marina and the Tahoe Keys Property Owners Association (TKPOA) has resulted in the water being shut off to all buildings at the marina.

Since the Fresh Ketch restaurant and adjacent deli are in one of those buildings, the El Dorado County Health Department shut them down due to a lack of water. A notice was also put up on the apartments in the complex advising residents of unsafe living conditions since there was no running water.

The Lake Tahoe Windjammers Yacht Club (WYC) is holding an all-day community sailing skills clinic for adults on Saturday, June 24 at the Tahoe Keys Marina.

Brown Bag Lunch at 11:30 - Included in the price
Afternoon on-the-water instruction as a guest on a WYC member's boat
Please wear appropriate sailing clothing and bring a life jacket.
Social Hour After Sailing at 5 p.m. - Appetizers provided & No Host Bar at Clubhouse

The cost is $35 for WYC members and $45 for non-members.

The Windjammers Yacht Club celebrated the holiday season and toasted to an enjoyable summer of sailing on Lake Tahoe at their annual Christmas party. After dinner and before dancing, the officers of the club for 2017 were inducted.

Would you like to learn about sailing? Lake Tahoe Windjammers Yacht Club is offering a community Sailing Skills Clinic Saturday, July 16, 2016.

Join the experienced skippers Of WYC for a day filled with classroom instruction and optional on-the-water application. Men and women of any skill level are invited to attend.

Pre-Registration is Required, Space is Limited. The clinic will be held at the WYC clubhouse located above the harbor master's office in the Tahoe Keys Marina. The cost is $35 for WYC members~~$45 for non-members.

Lake Tahoe Windjammers Yacht Club invites the public to attend their Annual Chowder Feed and Membership Drive on Saturday, April 16 at 6:00 pm. at their clubhouse located above the harbor master's office in the Tahoe Keys Marina.

This event features Ross Groelz's famous Oyster Stew and Clam Chowder, salads, garlic bread and desserts for $15. There will also be a cash bar available. Social hour begins at 6:00 p.m. with dinner around 7:00 p.m.

This will be followed by the General Meeting.
