South Lake Tahoe rollover crash sends two to hospital with minor injuries

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - A woman and her three-year-old child were transported to Barton Hospital Wednesday evening after their vehicle rolled several times on Pioneer Trail just east of Jicarilla Drive in South Lake Tahoe.
The early reports completed by the California Highway Patrol (CHP) state the 25-year-old driver lost control of her vehicle and it hit the guardrail twice before rolling and landing on its roof. Witnesses told responding Lake Valley Firefighters they saw the car roll five times.
Both the mother and her child received minor injuries. The child was seatbelted in their car seat, and the driver was wearing her seatbelt.
The cause of the collision is still under investigation but it is currently believed that alcohol/drugs played a factor in this collision, according to CHP.
