South Lake Tahoe has record heat in forecast

While the Sacramento valley sees record temperatures well above 100, South Lake Tahoe may also break a record high temp on Friday, June 26.
The forecast from the National Weather Service (NWS) is calling for 88 degrees, just above the record high of 87 the South Shore had in 1981.
Saturday should tie the record of 87.
Accuweather.com's extended forecast shows South Lake Tahoe has a chance to break all records over the July 4th weekend. They are calling for 95 degrees on July 3 and 4.
Here is the complete seven day forecast for June 26 to July 2 from the NWS:
Friday - A slight chance of thunderstorms after 11am. Mostly sunny, with a high near 88. West wind around 5 mph becoming calm. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Friday Night - A slight chance of thunderstorms. Partly cloudy, with a low around 53. Southwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Saturday - A slight chance of thunderstorms, then a chance of thunderstorms after 11am. Partly sunny, with a high near 87. Calm wind. Little or no precipitation expected.
Saturday Night - A chance of thunderstorms before 11pm. Partly cloudy, with a low around 54. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph. Little or no precipitation expected.
Sunday - A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 11am. Partly sunny, with a high near 85.
Sunday Night - A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 11pm.
Partly cloudy, with a low around 54.
Monday - A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny, with a high near 85.
