DOUGLAS COUNTY, Nev. - On Thursday, July 25 the Douglas County Sheriff's Office (DCSO) responded to the Johnson Lane area of Minden at 10:15 p.m. after being dispatched to a reported shooting. A man had allegedly shot a firearm at his roommates. No one was injured in the shooting and the roommates were able to get to safety.
DCSO arrived in the area of Squires and Jones street but were unable to convince the suspect, Grant Lukins, to exit the residence. DCSO SWAT and Crisis Negotiation Team were dispatched to assist with the arrest, and, with the assistance of a neighbor, the suspect gave himself up to DCSO personnel without injury.
Lukins was booked on attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon.
