December 15, 2015 - 7:00pm
On Course Events has teamed up with Sushi Pier Tahoe again to produce the 5th Annual Shred for Sushi Rail Jam on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at 7:00 p.m.
“Shred for Sushi has become the unofficial start to winter in South Lake Tahoe, gathering the community together with their love for snow and passion for a good cause,” states Leslie Schultz of On Course Events. “Last year’s event raised money for the Boys & Girls Club to provide ski and snowboard equipment, safety gear and a trip to Yosemite for local kids. We’re excited to see this event continue to grow and benefit great organizations in our community.”
This free community event, hosted in the Sushi Pier Tahoe parking lot, located at 177 Lake Tahoe Blvd. in Stateline, will feature a rail jam competition, live DJ’s, food and drink specials, Lauren Lindley’s photobooth, live art from Will Eichelberger, local vendor and sponsor booths and a raffle with great prizes including a brand new snowboard.
The rail jam competition is open to skiers and riders of all ages with a $20 competitor fee.
Registration begins is from 5:30 pm to 6:30 p.m. Since there is a 50-competitor cap it is suggested that those wishing to participate arrive early to secure a spot.
Proceeds from the rail jam, raffle, and venue will benefit the Boys and Girls Club of Lake Tahoe. This non-profit organization has empowered South Lake Tahoe youth to reach their full potential by providing a safe place to learn and grow for the past twenty-four years. Proceeds from this event will be donated to ensure they can continue their life enhancing programs and character development.
