The Valhalla Arts and Music Festival presents 'God of Carnage'

Great theater makes its way to the shores of Lake Tahoe this month during the Valhalla Arts & Music Festival with a performance of the Tony Award-winning comedy "God of Carnage.' What happens when two sets of parents meet up to deal with the unruly behavior of their children? A calm and rational debate between grown-ups about the need to teach kids how to behave properly? Or a hysterical night of name-calling, tantrums, and tears before bedtime?
Sounds a bit intimidating, right? Not really. The International Herald Tribune calls Christopher Hampton’s translation of Yasmina Reza’s sharp-edged play "an expert piece of stagecraft, and savagely funny."
This is an adult comedy. The next performance is on July 8, 2:30 pm at the Valhalla Boathouse Theater. There will be a July 8 performance at 2:30 p.m. There will be 7:30 p.m. performances on July 12-14 and a 2:30 p.m. performance on July 15.
