Bay Area's Thadeus Gonzalez makes a stop in South Lake Tahoe

Oakland-based vocalist/songwriter Thadeus Gonzalez starts a West Coast tour in support of his debut album, UTOPIAN SOCIETY. The first part of the tour includes hometown Oakland, Hollywood, Santa Cruz, South Lake Tahoe, and Medford.

His South Lake Tahoe stop will be at Whiskey Dick's on May 27, 2015 at 9 p.m.

Gonzalez enjoyed critical acclaim with supporting gigs for KISS/Motley Crue, Slash, and Danko Jones, but also as a recording artist ("a definitive rock and roll voice" - Blabbermouth). UTOPTIAN SOCIETY is an 11-track collection showcases influences from classic rock, metal, punk, and ‘90s alt.

Supporting him in the recording were musicians with diverse and credible pedigrees. Dennis Hill (Face to Face) contributed lead and rhythm guitars and backing vocals, Scott Shiflett (Face to Face, Me First and the Gimme Gimmes) added additional lead guitar, Pete Pacheco (Electric Sister) was on bass and backing vocals, and Nathan Walker (Lit) handled drums. All the tracks on UTOPIAN SOCIETY were written by Thadeus Gonzalez, with Dennis Hill co-writing “Literally.” Hill (Hagar/Satriani, Lit, Good Charlotte) produced with Kyle Homme (Matt Costa, Sugarcult, Reel Big Fish) recording and mixing at The Lodge.
