Nature's Compass Class slated for summer!

If you have ever wondered about the idealogy behind the Native American Medicine Wheel, the class "Nature's Compass -Finding Your Center in the Sacred Wheel" is for you.

"It's more than just a cool picture, it is really Humankind's first calendar and is central to understanding the world around us on an intimate level," Terrell said.

Facilitator, Lisa Terrell, has been walking the path of the Medicine Wheel for more than 20 years. She has been a journalist and has studied under Elders who have worked with the 13 Grandmothers and Paiute Elders.

She has taught this topic at Lake Tahoe Community College and shared drumming oral traditions at Boys & Girls Club and Bijou School.

Classes will run 6 weeks and are offered either Wednesday evenings from 6-7:30 pm and Saturday mornings from 10 am-Noon to accommodate different Tahoe schedules. Cost is $120 for the session and covers cost of workbook and materials. Crimson Moon Gifts is located at 2845 Lake Tahoe Blvd, South Lake Tahoe (across from US Bank).
