The Beavers of Taylor Creek

July 31, 2015 - 8:30pm Sherry Guzzi from Sierra Wildlife Coalition will be presenting “The Beavers of Taylor Creek” at Taylor Creek Visitor Center on Friday July 31st at 8:30 p.m. This event is open to the public and admission is a five-dollar donation to the Tahoe Heritage Foundation.
Sierra Wildlife Coalition is a non-profit that works with government agencies and private land owners to find humane and non-lethal management of wildlife. Through outreach and education Sierra Wildlife Coalition strives to promote an appreciation of wildlife and steps to take to avoid conflicts. Sherry Guzzi will share her knowledge of beavers, their history in the Lake Tahoe area and the ways Sierra Wildlife Coalition creates solutions to living peacefully with wildlife. Such as the “Beaver Deceiver.”
Tahoe Heritage Foundation, a non-profit that partners with the Forest Service to preserve the culture and natural history of Lake Tahoe, hosts this event at the Lake of the Sky Amphitheater. Taylor Creek Visitor Center is located approximately 3 miles north of South Lake Tahoe on the lakeside of Highway 89. The Visitor Center entrance is just past the entrance to the Tallac Historic Site and Fallen Leaf Lake Road. Dogs are permitted only on leash.
