Letter: Supporting Nick Exline For South Tahoe Public Utility District Board (STPUD)

I am writing this letter in support of Nick Exline's candidacy for the STPUD Board. I have known Nick for several years now and agree with him that renewable energy is our future! He is passionate about, not only how climate change is affecting us, but also what we can do to help solve some of these concerns.
Nick's platform is firstly about stabilizing STPUD rates by investing in renewable energy sources. In this day and age isn't it about lowering our energy costs? I am happy to see he addresses the middle and lower income people who make up a large portion of this area. For instance, wanting to create a sliding scale for STPUD's construction fees depending on income level. He also feels keeping the fire safety and infrastructure up to date in our drought-ridden world is critical. I feel he has the experience and vision to follow through on his ideas and to make our community even better than it is!
