The Lake Tahoe Visitors Authority and South Tahoe Refuse & Recycling Services will again team up this holiday season to make giving to Christmas Cheer easier than ever.

The LTVA’s Drive and Drop for Christmas Cheer takes place Monday, December 4 through Saturday, December 9, from 9AM-5PM. Drive through the Visitor Center parking lot at 3066 Highway 50, South Lake Tahoe, and drop your donations of food or toys into the bins provided by South Tahoe Refuse & Recycling.

Cash donations should be brought into the Visitor Center. Restaurants and businesses are encouraged to participate.

South Tahoe Refuse & Recycling Services is also having their annual Community Holiday Food & Toy Drive December 4 through December 8. Leave canned/packaged food or toys curbside on your regular collection day, or drop off at South Tahoe Refuse, 2140 Ruth Ave, during business hours.

Christmas Cheer feeds over 1,000 people each month, year-round, and the need for wholesome meals is even more important to families with children who are out of school at the holidays. The LTVA and STR invite the community to make this a bountiful holiday season for those in need. For more information about donating call 530-541-5255.
