Youth Theatre Carson City is excited to announce our upcoming production of "Aladdin and His Wonderful, Magical Lamp," a magical adaptation of the classic tale, Friday through Sunday Jan. 11-13 at the Carson City Community Center and Jan. 18 at Piper’s Opera House in Virginia City.
The cast and crew are comprised of over 70 local children ages 5 to 18, who play all the classic characters including Aladdin, his pet monkey Alakazam, The Princess Jasmine and her handmaidens, the evil Jammal and his sister Halima, and not just one…but 3 Genies!
One Arabian night, long ago, a street urchin named Aladdin meets the beautiful Princess Jasmine and vows he will marry her. But the evil magician, Jammal, and his wicked sister have other plans. With the help of his friends and a little bit of magic, courtesy of a few genies, can Aladdin save the day?
This musical fantasy will delight audiences of all ages. Starring in the title role of Aladdin are Jackson Jensen, 13, and Serena Dantzler, 10, of Carson City. Joining them are a host of colorful characters including Juliet Favero, 13, and Rebecca Trejo, 11, as Princess Jasmine; Kayleigh Remington, 14, and Willard Franklin, 12, as the evil Jammal; and Daniella Carpenter, 10, Brianda Diaz, 12, and Sara Session, 15, as the magic genies.
Youth Theatre Carson City is a new and exciting youth theatre company operating primarily at the Carson City Community Center as part of the Carson City Recreation Department and in partnership with the Bob Boldrick Theatre.

Our mission is to provide a safe, inclusive environment for young people and their families to explore, create, learn and grow through quality theatrical experiences. Youth Theatre Carson City produces three to five fully staged theatrical productions per year featuring all-youth casts.
