Top employees honored by El Dorado County Probation Department

Special Award Presentation: Deputy Probation Officer - Institutions: Matt Flager (Posthumously)
Matt Flager Memorial Award for Deputy Probation Officer - Institutions of the Year: Senior Deputy Probation Officer - Institutions: Andy Miller (Juvenile Treatment Center, South Lake Tahoe)
Outstanding Achievement Award: Senior Deputy Probation Officer Vanessa Wood (South Lake Tahoe Field Office)
Employees from the El Dorado County Probation Department were recently honored for the public safety services they provide to the community.
The award categories and recipients were as follows:
Bob Bensen Memorial Award for Deputy Probation Officer of the Year: Deputy Probation Officer II Brian Dolcini (Shingle Springs Field Office)
Special Award Presentation: Deputy Probation Officer - Institutions: Matt Flager (Posthumously)
Matt Flager Memorial Award for Deputy Probation Officer - Institutions of the Year: Senior Deputy Probation Officer - Institutions: Andy Miller (Juvenile Treatment Center, South Lake Tahoe)
Outstanding Achievement Award: Senior Deputy Probation Officer Vanessa Wood (South Lake Tahoe Field Office)
Chief Probation Officer Brian J. Richart expressed his appreciation to all employees of the Department and to the community sponsors of the event. Chief Richart stated, "Probation serves as the lynchpin in the corrections system. With recent changes to State law, the work of Probation Officers and all those that support them is only becoming more valuable and critical to the community. This event is an affirmative statement of the community support for our staff."
The Probation Department worked with the El Dorado County Probation Officers Association on the awards ceremony which was held at the American Legion Post 119 in Placerville.
All award recipients were nominated and selected by their peers.
