Dr. Chris Pavich, who was born and raised in South Lake Tahoe, has returned to his hometown to open Kingsbury Chiropractic.
After attending the University of Nevada, Reno and earning his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life West Chiropractic College, Dr. Pavich opened his office located at 276 Kingsbury Grade #1050 in Stateline.
He will be celebrating the new office with a Tahoe Chamber ribbon cutting event on January 28, 2016 at 5:30 p.m. The Grand Opening is from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Pavich is the grandson of Sierra Ski Ranch founder Vern Sprock.
After a personal injury, Pavich began extensive treatments in physical therapy, acupuncture, and even saw a specialist who recommended a surgery that would leave two pins in his hip. Searching for alternative health options, Pavich found a chiropractor that helped him recover without surgery. He was drawn to the field and always dreamed about opening a clinic in his hometown where the active mountain lifestyle often leaves locals and tourists with injuries that can stop them from doing the things they love.
Since opening Kingsbury Chiropractic’s in October 2015, Pavich has been helping a variety of clients who range in age, profession, and need. From golfers, skiers, and bodybuilders to injured kids and adults, Pavich’s mission is to create a custom rehabilitation program with an approach toward, not simply pain relief, but long-term wellness. The clinic is outfitted with the newest technology in spinal x-rays to help customers get back to their lifestyles quickly. Kingsbury Chiropractic also offers x-rays to the public for $40, which can help determine if a fracture is present before committing to high costs in the emergency room.
Pavich says he loves the energy in South Lake Tahoe that can’t be found in the area.
“Helping a 90-year-old man get back to the mountains and ski after an injury, there’s no better feeling than knowing you’ve helped someone get back to what they love, especially if they thought it wasn’t possible,” said Dr. Pavich. “Opening a business has been a rewarding experience. I love the community in South Lake and helping people here discover their personal wellness.”
