The following is the ski, snowboard and weather report for Thursday, January 21, 2016 for South Lake Tahoe brought to you by Lake Tahoe SkiBum.

Weather - South Lake Tahoe will have a high of 48 and a low tonight of 34. Today: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 48. Southeast wind 5 to 10 mph becoming south in the morning. Tonight: A chance of rain and snow after 4am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 34. Breezy, with a south wind 15 to 25 mph, with gusts as high as 35 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.

Heavenly - Groomed. No New Snow in last 24 hours. 100% of their terrain is open - 4800 acres, 24 lifts and 97 runs are open. Base depth is 73". Lift status. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 39. Message from Heavenly: Today's forecast is calling for mostly cloudy skies, and a high near 39°. There will be light-moderate SW winds, which will likely increase and bring strong gusts later this morning. So please stay tuned for updates, as lift operations may be impacted. Weather permitting; 24 lifts will spin from 9:00 am-4:00 pm, granting access to 97 trails, of which nearly 50% were freshly groomed overnight. Our Groomer's trail picks of the day are High Five in CA and Stagecoach in NV. Please note that Mott and Groove lifts will not open until 10:00 am.

Sierra-at-Tahoe - Packed Powder. No new snow. 100% of the terrain is now open. 9 lifts are open. Groomed conditions on 30 of their open 44 runs. Five snow parks are open. Base depth is 60" to 104".
