Medals were elusive for two South Shore snowboarders in X Game Superpipe finals

South Lake Tahoe's Hannah Teter and Elena Hight both made it to the Snowboard Superpipe finals Saturday night at the X Games in Aspen, CO but were unable to turn their runs into medal contenders.

Teter, a six time X Game medalist, won the event in 2004 and came in third in 2005, 2009, 2010 and 2012. The 27-year old came in seventh this year with rounds of 51, 48 and 10.66.

25-year old Hight made her tenth appearance at the X Games this weekend. The five time medalist ended in eighth this year with rounds of 21.66, 46 and 32.

The event was won by Chloe Kim, the youngest to ever win a medal at the X Games. The 14 year old from Southern California, who trains at Mammoth, won Silver in 2014 but was too young to compete in the Sochi Olympics.

Veteran Kelly Clark came in second, followed by bronze winner Torah Bright.
