Warren Miller's "Chasing Shadows" showing at South Tahoe High theater

"Chasing Shadows," the most recent Warren Miller ski film will be shown at the theater at South Tahoe High on Friday, January 29, 2016 at 7:30 p.m. Besides the movie there will also be a silent auction featuring custom skis, a hotel stay, ski boots, Sierra-at-Tahoe lift tickets and STHS Alpine Ski Team sweatshirts. The public is invited and tickets are $15.00 per person.

The epic ski movie showing is a fundraiser for the Tahoe Basin Ski League leading STHS Vikings. There will also be ski industry vendors in the lobby prior to the movie to talk to the public.

The movie will be shown at 7:30 p.m. but the doors will open at 6:00 p.m. to allow people to visit the vendors and bid on items in the silent auction.

If available, tickets will be sold at the door, but they can be purchased ahead of time on the school's on-line store HERE.

"Our goal is to raise money, but more importantly, its a community event that brings together small manufacturers with large resorts and the public," said STHS Principal Chad Houck. "Our students will be able to see opportunities for their futures."

Houck and his mono-ski company and mountain adventures are also featured on the Miller film.
