SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Stop the Bleed continues to empower the general public to make a difference in a life-threatening emergency by teaching them the basic techniques of bleeding control. After mass causality shootings across the country, it has become a necessity to know the proper way to stop others from bleeding to death.
South Lake Tahoe teachers were trained last week and now it is the local community's turn to be trained.
On Saturday, February 2, South Lake Tahoe Fire Rescue will hold a free training for anyone interested in learning emergency bleeding control techniques. Everyone who completes the class will get a certificate. This class will be hands-on,
The class will be held from 11:00 a.m. to noon at the SLTFR Training Center across from the recreation center at 1195 Rufus Allen Dr.
If you have questions or want to sign up please email fireinfo@cityofslt.us.
