Pre-registration begins at noon today for 40,000 Burning Man tickets at $380 per ticket. The pre-registration period ends noon Sunday, Feb. 10. Burning Man officials are doing tiered first-come-first serve sales of the 2013 tickets.
According to the official Burning Man website, organizers say they've come up with a ticket sales plan to meet the needs of the "greatest number of people possible," given that there is a limited supply available.
Burning Man is a week-long annual art, music and self-expression festival held in the Black Rock Desert of Northern Nevada. The event begins on the last Monday in August, and ends on the first Monday in September, which coincides with the Labor Day holiday.
Pre-registration is required in order to gain access. Once you’ve registered you will be able to participate in the first-come first-served sales. The plan began with the holiday sales, then direct group sales which began Jan. 30. Wednesday, Feb. 6-10 are individual ticket sales with 40,000 available. A Secure Ticket Exchange Program (STEP) – will run Feb. 28 through July 31 ; an OMG Last Chance Sale (1000+ tickets) will go on sale August 7 (Pre-registration required, August 2-5) and 4,000 tickets will be given in the Low Income Ticket Program. (Application required.)
