The regular season is over for the seven high schools that make up the Tahoe Basin Ski League, and South Tahoe High took overall first place.
The Boys Team ended the season in first, the Girls Team in second, giving STHS enough points for the overall title.
Whittell High School boys ended the season in fifth, girls in sixth, with an overall sixth place.
At Diamond Peak, the final race of the regular season on February 3, the boys from South Tahoe High came in second place behind North Tahoe and ahead of Douglas. The girls finished in fourth, giving the STHS team a third place finish.
The Whittell boys finished fifth, girls in sixth and an overall sixth place.
Individually, Whittell High School's Payton Norton finished in first place for the second race in a row. It was a very close race for the boys, with South Tahoe's Alec Jobbins finishing just .02 seconds behind Norton.
On the girls' side, Whittell's Madison Ito's fifth and South Tahoe's Rose McDonough's seventh place finished led the South Shore schools.
Skiers are now preparing for zone duals on February 9 and 10, with state finals on February 23/24.
