South Lake Tahoe Fire Rescue (SLTFR) had to use extrication equipment Friday after two vehicles collided at the intersection of 4th Street and South Avenue, sending two to the hospital.
At 4:35 p.m., both SLTFR and South Lake Tahoe Police Department (SLTPD) responded to the crash. A two-year-old had been sitting on the lap of the passenger in the red car show in the photos. While the driver and toddler were able to get out, the passenger had to be cut out, the safer of the options available according to SLTFR Battalion Chief Tim Spencer.
The unsecured toddler and passenger were transported to Barton with undisclosed injuries. Both drivers were uninjured.
No other information is available as reports are not completed at this time, according to SLTPD Sgt. Travis Cabral.
