Traffic collision in South Lake Tahoe; Injuries reported

Update May 19 9:00 a.m.: The 65-year-old driver who verred off Lake Tahoe Boulevard on Saturday suffered a medical episode according to the South Lake Tahoe Police Department. The unidentified South Lake Tahoe man was transported to Barton Hospital with minor injuries from the crash.

Update 1:15 p.m.: One person was transported to the hospital after they left the roadway and ended up hitting two parked cars and a building Saturday morning. The driver was transported with unknown injuries.

The South Lake Tahoe Building Department is on their way to examine the building but businesses remain open at this time.

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - South Lake Tahoe Fire Rescue is on the scene of a vehicle collision that also caused damage to the building on Highway 50 that houses Sato Japanese Restaurant and A Cup of Cherries.

Traffic has been diverted into one-lane through the area so use caution.
